Please join Lorraine Donahue this coming Sunday, March 08 2026,as she preaches: I love to tell the story of Jesus and his love. Part 3 of our Lenten Series : “Come to the Cross and Remember” Psalm 139: 1-12; Luke 15:1-3;11-32

Psalm 39 is one of my favorite psalms of David. The theme of this psalm is, God is all-seeing, all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-present, and always present. God knows us. God is with us, and his greatest gift is to allow us to know him. God knows everything about us, even the number of hairs on our head, and he still accepts us and loves us. God is a compassionate and loving Father.

In my message, I love to tell the story of Jesus and his love, in the New Testament lesson in Luke’s gospel, Jesus told three specific stories about things being lost. The lost sheep, the lost coin, the lost son. These parables illustrate God’s love for the lost.

Have you ever lost something of great value? Do you remember the joy you experienced when you found what was lost? I will be focusing on the parable of the lost son, also known as the prodigal son. I know you have heard this parable many times, found in Luke 15, 11-32. I am going to talk about the father’s love for his son and compare it with the love our heavenly father has for us.

Read the story, if you will, and think about who you can compare yourself with, the father, the younger son, the older son,or the servants. Each individual is precious to God. He grieves over every loss and rejoices whenever one of his children is found and brought into the kingdom.

I will share my story, (parable) of coming to the cross and remembering what Jesus did for me, for all of us. Not only what we did, but who is in our lives.

Please join me on Sunday as I tell the story of Jesus and his love.

Be Blessed!

Lorraine Donahue
